About
Ascue asks so you don't have to.
The name
Ascue is pronounced ASK-you. It asks every message a few questions before it ever gets to ask you anything. Who wrote this? What do they want from your business? Is it spam? Is it urgent? That's not a metaphor; it's literally how it works.
It also stands for something:
Auto-Sorting Contact-Us Entries
Yes, we chose the name first and found the words after. They fit anyway.
Why it exists
A contact form is supposed to be the front door. For a lot of small businesses it has turned into a mail slot for everyone who wants to sell them something. Bots fill it with link drops. AI tools write spam that reads like a real customer. And then there are the people: the SEO audits, the guest-post offers, the "quick question about your website" that is never a quick question.
CAPTCHAs help with the simple bots, at the cost of annoying your actual visitors. They do nothing about a person typing a sales pitch, because that person passes every bot check. Bot filters have the same blind spot: a pitch isn't spam in the technical sense. It's just not what you want in your inbox at 7am.
So the real leads end up buried. Owners skim, miss things, or stop checking the form at all. Ascue sits between the form and the inbox and does the sorting a sharp receptionist would: real inquiries straight through, sales pitches into a weekly pile, spam out of sight, and anything uncertain handed over with a note saying so.
How it thinks
A missed lead costs far more than a spam message getting through, so Ascue leans toward delivering. It only holds back what it is confident about, it never deletes anything, and it shows how sure it was every time. When it gets one wrong, a click fixes it and teaches it your site.
Under the hood, Ascue runs on Jev, a decision model from TypeSafe AI that answers multiple-choice questions rather than writing text. Every label, digest and email Ascue sends comes from templates, and each check costs a tiny fraction of a cent. That's what makes a free plan possible.
